Gold Coast locals Samantha and Chris Ferris were among the growing number of aspiring first home buyers, choosing to live at home with their parents, while actively saving for house deposits.

Rawcorp’s new luxury project – Bellevue at The Glades hit the market at the right time for the siblings, who have each snapped up brand new apartments overlooking the golf course.

“Saving for a home deposit can take years and neither of us wanted to get stuck in the rental trap, which would only have made it harder to save,” Ms Ferris said.

“We were lucky enough to be able to stay with Mum and Dad, while we both saved enough to buy our own homes. We were even luckier to discover Bellevue in time to take advantage of the $20,000 First Home Owners grant.”

Ms Ferris, who works at Robina Town Centre, purchased a two bedroom, two bathroom apartment with a large balcony overlooking the driving range for $420,000.

“I wanted to be close to work and I looked at a few other apartments in the area but everything was out of my price range. When I saw the size of the apartments at Bellevue I couldn’t believe the value for money,” she said.

“I cannot wait to utilise the pool, gym and sauna. In fact I plan to cancel my gym membership and with the low body corporate rates I will definitely end up saving money.”

Bellevue will feature 58 spacious apartments across two architecturally designed buildings, connected at the podium level. Residents will have exclusive access to a pool, gym, sauna and entertainment area, with most of the units having two car parks, and some with golf buggy parking too.

Ms Ferris’s older brother Chris, a self-proclaimed golf nut, said he started researching Rawcorp after his sister signed her contract at Bellevue.

“I inspected a number of Rawcorp’s past projects and was impressed with the build quality. They are a trustworthy developer with a great track record, which made me feel confident to sign on the dotted line,” he said.

“I purchased a 65sqm one bedroom apartment on level one, with a patio overlooking the driving range.

“While I can see this will definitely be a great investment opportunity down the track, I am looking forward to living at The Glades.

“It’s a private and safe community and the lifestyle is ideal for me. It’s a couple of minutes from work, and I will hopefully end up getting my handicap down to single figures – there’s no excuse now.”

Marketing Projects SEQ Director Kyia Anderson says Bellevue’s location, views and spacious floorplans, have attracted a mix of local downsizers and first home buyers.

“Bellevue is ideally positioned close to Robina Town Centre and the Robina railway station, with easy access to the Pacific Motorway and numerous public and private schools,” she said.

“Most apartments are over 110sqm, with just two to five apartments per level. The majority of apartments face North East overlooking The Glades golf course, with views out towards the skyline from Burleigh right up to Surfers Paradise.”

Bellevue is the first apartment building to be built within The Glades in over 15 years and will be one of the city’s only new residential medium rise apartment projects to be built on a Golf Course.
